Ask
I read every question that comes through this form. The best ones become articles on philippeb.pro, get answered in my newsletter, or end up as a beat in a video. Be specific — the more detail you give me, the more useful the answer.
Want to see real answers first? Read questions I have already answered here: Hair Loss Questions, Answered.
What I’ll actually answer
I’m a researcher, not a doctor. I’ll answer questions about:
- The science: how AGA works, how the compounds work, why something might or might not fit a specific situation
- Treatment trade-offs: finasteride vs dutasteride, oral vs topical, when to add minoxidil, when microneedling helps
- The compounds I track: RU58841, JXL069, GT20029, clascoterone, PP405, others as they come up
- Honest red flags: when a product is selling hype, when a forum claim doesn’t hold up
I won’t answer:
- “Am I going bald” questions without context (your dermatologist is the right person to look at your scalp)
- Anything that needs a prescription or a clinical exam — that’s your doctor’s job, not a researcher’s
- Personal medical advice — I’ll explain the science, you make the decision with your physician
The form
What happens after you submit
You get an email confirmation. From there, your question goes into a monthly triage pile. If yours is one I can actually do something useful with, here’s where it ends up:
- A new article on philippeb.pro (sometimes anchored to your question, sometimes generalized so I can answer 50 similar ones at once)
- The next monthly newsletter (Q&A column)
- A beat in a YouTube video if it’s something a lot of people are asking
If you ticked “OK to share publicly” I’ll use your first name. Otherwise I anonymize.
A note on confidentiality
I get hundreds of personal stories through this form. I take that seriously. I don’t share, sell, or publish identifying details — ever. If you tell me you’re considering a transplant or you’re dealing with PFS, that stays between us unless you’ve explicitly opted in to public sharing.
