Losing It

Losing It: The Complete, Evidence-Based Guide to Male Hair Loss, 3D book cover by hair-loss researcher Philippe Boissard.

Why I wrote it

I started losing my hair in my late twenties, and almost everything I read about it was trying to sell me something. So I spent years working through the primary research, ran the protocol on my own head, and wrote the book I wish I’d had at the start. Losing It is a complete, evidence-based guide to male pattern hair loss: how it actually works, what finasteride, dutasteride and minoxidil can and cannot do (side effects included), and how to tell a proven treatment from marketing.

What’s inside

The biology of androgenetic alopecia and the DHT pathway, in plain language. The real evidence behind every mainstream treatment, plus the newer compounds people keep asking me about. The bloodwork worth doing before you spend a dollar. And a realistic, month-by-month picture of what recovery actually looks like, with each claim tied back to the study it came from.

Available on Amazon

Losing It comes in three formats:

Prefer to listen first? The opening chapters are free as an audiobook on the audiobook page.

The audiobook

The full audiobook runs 5 hours 55 minutes. Buy it directly from me and the complete book comes with it free, as a PDF and an EPUB, so you can listen on the commute and still read the treatment chapters properly when you need to compare options. One price, three ways to use it.

It is narrated by a digital voice rather than a human one, which I would rather tell you plainly than have you find out afterwards.

About the author

I’m Philippe Boissard, a hair-loss researcher and author (M.Sc.). I’ve written three books on men’s health and physiology, and I publish open research on androgenetic alopecia, including a comparative review of finasteride and dutasteride. I break this work down in plain language through Philippe’s Blueprint.
